Here comes the Snapmaker Luban 4.0!

In Snapmaker Luban 4.0.0, we bring a new designed UI and cleaner workflow that fits Luban’s versatile usages. Printing settings for all 3 functions (3D Printing, Laser and CNC) are reworked too, and we now have a separate job setup panel and unified printing settings (tool path settings).

Brief changelog:

  • Brand new designed user interface which is more modern and precise.
    • Added Home page to navigate among different workspaces, and 3-axis and 4-axis workspaces are split.
    • Added Main Toolbar on top for quick access to frequently used tools.
  • Refined workflow (mainly for Laser and CNC G-code Generator).
    • Added Beginner’s Guide.
    • Added Job Setup panel for Laser and CNC workflows.
    • Unified toolpath settings for consistency.
    • Added General Parameters panel to display commonly used parameters, and you can also customize the visibility of parameters.
    • Added default profile for PETG material
    • Reworked Undo and Redo feature.
  • Re-implemented slice backend in C++ to have a great performance improvement on toolpath generation.

  • Fix: Fixed a bug that extra straight lines being printed right after resuming printing (under the serial port).
  • Fix: Fixed a bug that you can click " Send file to machine " button when G-code file is not selected.
  • Fix: Fixed slice issues after switching process mode from vector mode to bitmap mode in laser editor.
  • Fix: Fixed UI text not being displayed correctly with specific system fonts (e.g. Zapfino-Regular font) (feedback from user ticket).
  • Fix: Fixed some buttons in workspace control panel cannot be clicked (feedback from user ticket).

  • Fix: Fixed " Fan Speed " parameter not taking effect in 3DP editor
  • Fix: Fixed " Initial Layer Printing Temperature " parameter not taking effect in some case in 3DP editor
  • Fix: Fixed after checking the " General Parameters " of the ‘retraction’, the ‘retraction’ parameter will still be displayed in " General Parameters " after upgrade.
  • Fix: Fixed changing the nozzle color not syncing with the color of a model (with manually added supports).
  • Fix: Fixed incorrect slicing results for duplicating modified built-in text in Laser & CNC editor.
  • Fix: Fixed blank when right-clicking an object for the first time to duplicate or copy in Laser & CNC editor.
