Hi, welcome to our forum! Please introduce yourself. =)

Hi, I have reported the problem to our software team and I will update you on the solution ASAP.

Welcome to a great group of folks.

Long time lurker first time poster…

I have an A350 on pre-order (due in August, but I’m expecting that to change in light of world events). I’m pretty excited about it, planning to use to make stuff for the house and gifts / cool toys etc. I have been interested in the topic for a while but this is my first 3d printer. My background is software engineering and robotics.

A little concerned about the amount of reports of damaged build plates, and an even more concerning lack of official response from the staff. I am hoping it gets resolved by the time I receive it, and everyone affected is compensated appropriately.

I have been hammering my A350 since early January with 3D printing and laser…have not tried the CNC as yet…no problems. make sure you take the time to set it up properly.

My name is Henri and I have worked in the electronics world since the mid 1970s. Now that I have retired from my last startup (The Science Experience) out of 8 startups, I have the time to pursue my main interest - robots. I have been interested in them since the program FORTH was popular. I have had a Snapmaker 1 since last year and an Ender 3D for larger prints. The Ender has never been reliable so I have ordered an A250. I am so pleased with the software and product that Snapmaker produces that I can’t wait!!!

Hi All!

Daniel Here. Just received my 2.0 and set it up. This is my first machine. Benchy Boat is printing as we speak, seems to be going well! I look forward to more adventures with my Snapmaker.

I would just like to say a Thank You to the Snapmaker Team for a wonderful machine, unboxing and setup experience. I would also like to thank all the people who make this community great. I have already read through a lot of the starter guides and threads and they have been a major help and already have a list of accessories to be printed for the machine.

Thank you and look forward to getting to know you guys.

Hi all,

my name is Nikola and I live in Munich, Germany. I’m 27 years old and work as an IT systems engineer.

Iā€˜ve been quietly following the forum for quite some time now and Iā€˜ve got to say:
You guys ROCK! (or SNAP?!)
I don’t think that Iā€˜ve ever seen such a friendly and supportive community as you are. Let’s keep this up! :muscle:t2:

My Snapmaker 2.0 A250 arrived last week and ever since it just runs like butter - all day every day, printing PPE for medical staff. About six weeks ago my friends and I founded the NGO Help4Helpers and so far we’ve delivered around 1.000 face shields and countless ear savers.

Now as I continue to familiarize myself with the new printer I can’t wait to dig even deeper into all those different threads and topics, trying to wrap my head around them to eventually not only learn from your experiences but hopefully also being able to return some help and support back to the community!

A big holla and kudos to @Rainie and @JKC20.
I’m really looking up to you guys and it feels great being surrounded with likeminded people from around the world in here.

Happy to be here. Enjoy your weekend. Stay healthy and don’t forget to wash your hands :soap::clap:t2:

Cheers,
Nikola

Hi Nikola

I am probably the oldest newbie in the forum hahaha 66yo and a retired IT systems engineer among other things. Make sure you check out the many great references in Snaplinks SnapLinks -- Wiki

and yes you are correct the forum is great and friendly. I take some pride in generating much of this friendliness and collegiate interaction from the beginning @Rainie will tell you that. I have seen other forums go off the rails with too many negative commentaries. This does not mean that criticisms cannot be lodged, as long as they have some form of positive suggestions for improvement as well.

We look forward to your ongoing involvement and contributions

Take care and keep having fun.

Thank you for the warm welcome, Doug!

You definitely should’ve considered the handle @heimdall. I think it’s very important to have you here as all-seeing and all-hearing guardian sentry, relentlessly watching over Snapgard, protecting all prosper Snapgardians from unfair attacks and unjustified criticism.

I hope you get the chance to enjoy all the fun here as well, albeit surely assuming not few responsibilities.

That’s the spirit! Party as long like you’d 3D print with a never ending roll of filament…

I’m looking forward to getting to know as many as possible.

You’re right! And as long as you can laugh at yourself you’ll never run out of reasons to laugh!

And if you’re laughing you’re also having fun.
Case closed. Well done, Doug!

Wow, this is very impressive!
To survive in the IT jungle you really have to at least touch base with all new technologies that come around. And they have been queueing up like people in front of an Apple Store for the new iPhone haha…

But nevertheless - or maybe that’s even the reason why - I enjoy my job. Because itā€˜s my hobby, so basically im unemployed

All I really do is…keep having fun
