U1 Multi ACE Pro Integration, Stock Firmware, no Soldering

I don’t recommend that as a normal course of action anyway. Far better to save the sliced file somewhere and send that – otherwise you would be re-slicing if you wanted to re-run a print at a later date.

But it goes to my print history, that is where i do re print. Or open the file again and send.

Oh, OK – perhaps I have missed a trick!

I have a question. When I try to use my MultiACE ACE2 after it hasn’t been used for a while, it times out before reconnecting. My adapter isn’t K3, it’s RS485. 18:08:12

ACE 1: Connected to ACE 2 Pro

Firmware Version: V1.1.31

18:08:12

[multiACE] ACE 1 reconnected after wait_ace_ready timeout

18:08:10

// [warn] [multiACE] ACE 1 wait_ace_ready timeout 60.0s (status=busy) - Reconnect 1/2

18:07:10

[multiACE] Unloading nozzle 4 (ACE 1 / Slot 2)…

That timeout with status=busy was a known bug, fixed in 0.99.6b. Which version are you running?

v0.99.8b+9ba137e1

Make it a github issue please, enable debuggind and send me klippy.log and multiace_fa.log after it happens again:

One of the fittings on this multi-port manifold has detached from the body. I’ve reattached it, but I’m unsure about its long-term stability, so please use it at your own risk.

I have a question. Every time I try to retract material from extruder #3, the extruder has finished its work, but it gets stuck in the feeder. I can’t manually pull it back; I can only keep feeding it into the extruder. I can only cut the material at the front of the extruder to get the remaining material out from the extruder. However, the feeders #1 and #2 work perfectly fine. This only happens with feeder #3. Is this related to my use of Multiace?

Couldn’t replicate it.. Just loaded and unloaded from Head 3, no blockage.. Do you have to print before it happens? If it happens again, please try M84 in the fluidd console, see if you can get the material out then…

News… thanks to Simon-CR (SimonC) · GitHub for his great work..

Right this new Orca Slicer - MultiACE Edition by Mnemonic3D says it is live but for the life of me I have no idea where to download it, can anyone help?

It says 15H after, from which time zone? ^^

Yes that is new, it said NOW LIVE 4 hours ago

It is now live for download, my brain hurts, do I have to redo MultiAce or just install the patch?

I need to install the Multiace orca, but it doesn’t work on my end. After that, there’s a patch folder that establishes SSH connections to perform permission checks, and it seems they modify or require access to certain folders to connect with the Orca. So, if you manage to install and get the Multiace orca running, I’ll open a ticket tomorrow and we’ll see.

Managed to patch but had to update the U1 to latest firmware, then reinstall MultiAce, and then run the patch successfully, that is where the good news ends.

I removed all instances and folders of Orca and Snorca, installed the OrcaMultiAce Slicer and it will not open, it is there but will not open, nothing, nada, now I have no slicer at all

I would personally steer well clear unless you want issues, I have it working, but not the slicer, and it is useless, it will not swap filaments, even when set as PETG it keeps the original PLA in that slot, full of issues

How do I remove the patch? It has screwed up my U1 arghhhhhhh

Think I have managed it, phew

I’m personally waiting for more details from the creator ^^ It looks great on paper, but there’s only 3 screenshots.
