I have yet to be able to print anything without it messing up. Iâve tried most things that I am familiar with enough to do. I am a novice when it comes to 3d printing so the stuff that some people have tried to fix it are above my knowledge level. And I do not want to mess up a $2000 machine trying to do something that I am not comfortable doing. Just feel like I spent $400 on a paperweight.
To Snapmaker: please sell the quick change for the toolheads separately/by themselves. I have a good setup already for quickly changing the beds and wonât spend the money on the bed/platform components.
They will show the tool quick change at the 7th Anniversary Virtual Party: Growing Together. Making Forever. - YouTube
Canât believe it - EU shop lists it for 169 âŹ! Guess Iâm inâŠ
Hm, there is one new support platform listet. But wouldnât I need two new? So I have 3 for every working platform one?
Ahh, the laser platform is directly mounted on the Quick swap platform and there you do not need a support platform in between?
169,-⏠sounds nice for now onâŠ
$149 in us shop, some predictions were true
I see that the work area is narrower in the Y direction. I think it could have been avoided by shifting the bed mounting, but I guess it was not possible due to the enclosure.
It would be also nice to know how it fits together overall ⊠There are 3 toolhead plates but there are in theory 5 heads ⊠I suppose most people in ideal condition when working right would probably not go back to single head extruder from dual head and from more to less powerfull laser? Also the platform composition is not that clear. Price seems reasonable enough I guess atleast
Price is reasonable if it does in fact come with three new beds(/frames). Seems like it would have to come with at least two.
Had a look at my mods and this wonât be too bad. I would need to bolt the swapped bed down to the frame I made, but that is only four screws, and is optional (e.g. coud skip that step for the laser, the other two modes seem to require the frame to perform well). For the tool heads, I might have to drill new mounting holes on the carriage for the X-axis linear rail I added, but thatâs a one-time jon and simple to do.
I think it might be worth it.
Dang, I never got around to uploading pics of my mods. Maybe this would be a good opportunity.
EDIT: Ugh, the second included frame is special one dedicated to the garbage laser bed, not a full frame. I was hoping this would upgrade me from the flawed âsquashed frogâ bed of my A350 on the 3DP and the CNC modes; guess that isnât going to happen. But the preorder is âsold outâ, even if it provided what I expected.
I just got informed about this 1 hour ago by mail and I would buy it instant. But its already sold out? How?
Realy, no special pre-order this time for owners?
I am a bit disapointed.
10% Discount for members who bought the Snapmaker 2.0 in June 22 and before. Sale will begin on the 22.06.23.
It is not sold out⊠It is not yet available. Just wait this one more week and buy on LaunchâŠ
Yeah, the current state in shop is not very precise, but the announcements and emails are.
I didnât think it was all that clear. The email said the kit would be released 6/22, and provided a link. The link has a Pre-Order button. Clicking on the Pre-Order button brings you to a page saying Sold Out. The implication is that all of the Pre-Orders have been filled.
Waiting a week sure donât bother me - I might not even order one - but the suggestion that they are selling more than they planned to produce is a bit unsettling in the âoh great, so now we have to wait for the next round of productionâ sense.
I agree that it is not helpful to say âsold outâ, but Iâm 99.9% sure it is not. By happenstance I visited the EU shop page right when the sale countdown dropped to zero, immediately reloaded the page, found the quick swap kit, and it said sold out already then - it is just not available yet, only on June 22nd.
I carefully read through my mails - but could not find this piece of information. May I ask where you read this? Would not mind to receive 10% offâŠ
Thanks for that - those of who who donât use Facebook would never have found out otherwise
Dear Jade.
Please tell me about the Snapmaker 2.0 Quick Swap Kit.
In the video provided, the tool head on the Z-axis is lowered to the middle of the tool after the swap instruction is given from the touch panel.
The Y-axis appears to move to the front.
Is the tool head replacement done with the power turned OFF and the cable disconnected?
Is it possible to replace it with the power on?
Also, what is the countermeasure against reverse insertion of the tool head cable?
Many people have damaged them by plugging them in backwards, but if they can be replaced with the power ON, they die instantlyâŠ
Please give us an official answer.
