Diameter is correct. Its the standerd snapmaker file just load it and print no adjustments.
And it is not a Luban issue because with or without luban if I try to rotate via the buttons for the B axes it doesnot rotate and if I keep tapping the buttons it wil randomly rotate. But the motor makes a sound.
To me it looks like something is slipping. I think its either a faulty stepper-motor or transmission.
Ahhā¦OK. Then, with a faulty rotary that limits or restricts rotation, that can easily explain the squeezed output. Does the ārun boundaryā do the sameā¦runs a squeezed boundary or does it run the correct sized boundary?
I had mine freeze at 60% and just start ārepeatingā the motion over and over again like it hit a stop. Interestingly, the change I made from the original file was increasing the ādotsā from 5 to 10.
Guess Iāll send snapmaker an email.
First boundry rrun was compressed, second was perfect third, forth, fifth nothing.
Tech support told me that they have reported the problem to their R&D team.
Got in touch with SM Tech sup and I got a replacement module.
Although this module had the same problem first time I tried it, it got better the more I rotated it.
Now it rotates just fine.
So big thumbs up for team Snapmaker.
Still I am curious what the issue is.
i also had a strange behaviour, my lion model worked well for about 60% then the while model shifted by approximately 90 degreesā¦ recreated the gcode and tried again. this time the model twist/shift happened at around 70%. donāt know what to doā¦ the simulation in luban looks goodā¦
I appear to have a similar issue. It worked perfectly in the example epoxy, but when I switched to the ādefaultā material, I get the same, after 30 some hours. Any solutions?
STILL same problem here: After 60 Hrs the rotation stopped and the bit cut a straight line while hoppingā¦
Setting: 0.5mm plunge, V-Bit, 0.5mm Step. Slicing:linkage. ETA:270hrs, Bug after 72hrs.
Any workarounds or setting suggestions from the user community?
Any reaction from Snapmakers R&D: The bug(?) is quite old and not solved? Any explanation how and what I did wrong? Did I miss something?
Same problem here. different models. reboot machine in-between. 70% in the rotary module just stopped turning. on the first carve, it cut a groove fwd/back. on the second carve it didnāt move forward and backward at allā¦ just kept cutting in the same hole deeper and deeper.
Really a show stopper on the rotary module. Real mistake to buy it apparently. Iāll add a review for it steering everyone away.
I would recommend reaching out to snapmaker support if youāre still having issues. The forum is made of users, and if we donāt know where to start with an issue, you might just not get an answer. Support should be more helpful in those situations.
I did report the problem to tech support when I first started this thread. They replied saying they would forward the issue to the R&D team. But having more people contacting tech support canāt hurt.
Appreciate that Bobby. I havenāt gotten a lot of help from them and it seems the crew here hasnāt either.
Thanks!
Anyone know if this has been resolved or any new insights coming out? I am having the same issue - module stops rotating 60% or so through a CNC project and then only runs north-south (Y axis) for awhile and eventually stops. When I go to the controls immediately after this issue, the B axis controls turn a couple of times and then stop responding to the screen commands. I am perplexed because this is inconsistent. I use the same file to cut numerous good production (item at left) and then without changing the file or even the origin, I get 60% goes ok and then this fail (center and right).
Hi All,
Anyone have any fix for this?!
I just tried two cnc carvings and after around 24 hour mark my rotary module stopped spinning and cnc bit just carved a deep trench into my wood. Very disappointedā¦
Did you ever get a resolution to this issue? I am experiencing this with mine - but lasering and the Ray. My gut says there is an issue with the rotary itself - a bad batch. Do you remember when you purchased yours (you can check this via your snapmaker account on the shop). Iām in contact with the Snapmaker team to try diagnose and resolve this at the moment.
I ordered my rotary module June 2021. I have not had resolution.
