I am looking at doing some miniatures with lots of detail. I read in a forum some time ago that for this the nozzle would have to be changed to a different size to get the high level of detail. Does anyone know what nozzle this is and where it can be purchased from?
The stock hotend supports the standard “mk8” nozzle.
I won’t speak to the specifics of changing the nozzle since I’ve never done it, but you should be able to find plenty of nozzles from any supplier, in a whole range of quality to price ratios.
The actual swap isn’t very challenging, but you might need to recalibrate and make some changes to your print settings. You will need a difference slicer, because Luban doesn’t allow you to change the nozzle size. If you don’t have an favorite, Cura is pretty easy to pick up as it works much like Luban.
Most people looking for alternate nozzles buy them off Amazon. There are a lot of forum posts about larger and harder nozzles for various reasons.
