New assembly frozen screen

I am assembling a SM2 that has been in original boxes since 2020. Everything was going fine except the screen froze the second time I started the machine.

I was able to get to settings and reset, but now it’s frozen on start.

This must have happened to others. What did you do?

I’ve heard that an improperly connected tool head and cause that. Double check the connections. Also, be careful, because you can insert the cables backwards in the 2.0. And that usually fries something.

Maybe your screen is not properly connected?

Maybe try to turn on without any toolhead connected.

I’ve tried turning on with some or all cables disconnected, but no change. Frozen window is Hello screen. Once it pressed to the user agreement screen but stopped there.

If it does not work if only the toolhead is disconnected you have to open a ticket and troubleshoot with support:

This is now solved!

Before it resolved, I connected Luban via USB and checked to see if everything was working, and reset to the Hello screen.

Then, I unplugged everything, got EULA screen, proceeded to plug in one at at time with restarts each time, and finally got to the EULA with everything plugged in. Then I could do a calibration, loaded the 3D print test and everything worked.
