I need fifty copies of a stencil cut into paper. Is there a way to save the focus and origin so when one copy is complete the laser goes back to the original focus and origin point and is ready to cut the next stencil. It is such a pain to refocus and set the origin every time.
I write down the positions for the 1st round and then use them.
You can try my repeatable origin guide, or full lightburn control guide for fast repeatability
Unfortunately the laser head doesn’t save the work origin. I don’t know why not. It does with the cnc head. (Just another example of the little things that SM still hasn’t refined.)
It does go to the exact same spot every time. So if you can set up a guide or jig so that you place your material in the same place every time that matches that, that can work. For stuff I’m just engraving I use the cnc spoil board and I just engraved a few circles and squares of varying sizes that I use to line up things (like coasters, name tags) on the board itself.

This should be an easy programing fix by SNAPMAKER! I have the Artisan and it is very frustrating when doing the same job multiple times…Any resolutions yet?
Surely there is an easy programming fix for this that SNAPMAKER could update???
