I just set up my snapmaker and when i try to calibrate the laser, it is only making dots and not lines and fails when doing so. I have upgraded to the latest firmware. Having no joy here. any clue as to what to do?
Do you notice the laser module moving up & down during the process?
When I first set mine up I was getting the same thing. Driving me crazy. Tried to engrave & the thing dug into my wood piece I was working with.
Then it dawned on me…had the axis cables mixed up. The Z & Y axis cables were in the wrong place.
DUH!
Swapped them to correct ports & worked fine. Calibration LINES just like it’s supposed to.
