Hi all,
many, many thanks for the congratulations and the praise! In Germany we say: “Das geht runter we Öl” (i.e. a very pleasant experience )
So for you to know a bit more who I am: I’m Hauke, living in Bonn, Germany. I’ve a degree in Physics and work in IT. I’d call myself a hobby maker. This includes home automation, designing simple electronics, and 3D design and printing of functional parts. I also use laser and CNC milling for the same purposes. The Snapmaker 2.0 3-in-1 is my entry into these tool techniques, and I’d consider myself an enthusiast, but not really an expert. Aside from Luban, my software toolbox includes Lightburn, Fusion 360, Windows 3D builder, Cura and Prusa Slicer. For electronics I make use of KiCAD and FlatCAM. Some of my products and experiments you can find as showcases in the forum. For a broader view on my hobby projects, not strictly limited to CNC techniques, you may visit my blog: https://projects.webvoss.de/. If I could get a wish granted, it would be to have more time for my projects!
The last point I will use to set expectations: There will be times I am more active, and others you’ll find me more silent (right now this is such a time - busy with my Job…). I understand my role as moderator as merging repetitive questions into existing threads, helping to structure the forum, and also to stop at some point fruitless discussions that have reached the “I’m right” - “No, I’m right” loop of death.
If at any time you disagree with a decision I made, please PM me!
