Hmpf… That’s really dangerous… Reminds me that I need at some point in time really test if the Marlin fire protection features are really in place and working… Snapmaker claims they are, but this is a red flag…
With my single extruder, I’ve seen similar behavior in the newest update where the temperature in the change temperature dialog would default to 0 (instead of the current temperature like before), though never -1 (so no thermal runaway).
Snapmaker, please get your software quality and QA in order… I work on software in a regulated industry and a bug like this could ruin a company.
A350 single extruder, 1.6W laser, all other hardware original…I have not had any issues on my machine with firmware 1.15.13, using Cura 5.2.1 for 3D slicer and Luban 4.5.1 for laser.
This sounds like a real bad issue. Did they ever heard of continuous integration? Do they have a system test department at all?
Lets do a Challenge. My highest temp was 310° due to the -1 bug.
I have this also when trying to change temperature while printing. Then you can Just turn off the device since changing temp will just be ignored. This whole firmware looks like written from my students without any QA. I packed the dual Print head and wait for new firmwares. My old Print head still Work Like a Charme.
Stopping the print also works to get it cooling down again.
Installed the Dual Extruder, upgraded firmware to v1.15.12.
The mandatory bed leveling steps through the menu, gets to the “Auto Leveling” screen, however it never progresses beyond step 1. no movement in X, Y, or Z.
After my first successful dual head print (no issues with 1.15.15) I wanted to run a laser job. There was 1.15.17 available, and I updated. Needed to redo Laser calibration (10W) anyhow, so ran the full wizard, no problems. Laser job also finished as expected.
So to all that reported laser issues with earlier 1.15.x - try the .17, seems OK (statistics of one).
Can someone point me to the latest firmware site? v1.15.12 is the latest showing in the sticky thread at the top of the Forum, but I see reference to v1.15.17 in this thread?
It is probably visible from the snapmaker controller as an update via WiFi.
If you want to download the *.bin file and update via USB, you can download directly from

thanks Tomi!
You didn’t have any issues calibrating the laser after updating to 1.15.17? I just did that and now it thinks my 1600mW laser is at a height of 70mm. I can’t get it to come back down to the 25 or 30 or whatever it should be.
I only yet run Jobs with the dual extruder head and the 10 W laser, so I cannot tell if I can reproduce the problems. I will in the next days play around with the 1.6 W laser, so if I have observations to share, I’ll post it here.
Just tried the 1.6W laser, complete re-run of the calibration wizard - no problems whatsoever. Perhaps you need to do a factory reset?
Only thing: The square lasered into the paper was off-center - no idea if this is a problem, I admittedly yet ignored the camera in the laser modules.
I have print on saturday a handle that needs 28 hours. In the evening i switch off the printer, we have the power recovery mode in the Snapmaker (Firmware 1.15.17) …
On Sunday morning i switch the printer on and the Snapmaker begins 5 cm over the printed handle.
Great Solution !!!
14 hours printed for free …
Hi everyone,
My account had some issues and hadn’t login a while since last month.
The add-on status bug on Touchscreen was fixed in V1.15.17, We tested other add-ons in this version, and it seems ok for now.
The firmware downloads were updated in the following link:

Sorry for replying late. As far as I know, the customer services were working hard on replying to messages when we back in Office after holiday. If your issues still not getting reply, please let me know and I will pass my colleagues to follow it.
Still no response from the service team. It’s been almost 2 months now and not a word back from them.
Hi @OldFart , could you please tell me your ticket ID? Our support team will check it in the ticket system. The support team has been clearing out our email backlog after the holiday. (from the end of Jan.) Currently, over a half of the backlog emails have been replied. We have added more team members to help to solve the tickets since last week. The tickets solving is speeding up.
Hey Jade,
I believe it’s 133290. FYI, my original order number for the machine is SMUS2022422132
Best,
Jim Ster
Could you pin the Firmware Updates and Downloads thread? It looks like it became unpinned.
