Computer unable to communicate over USB cable with A350

Hello I am unable to communicate with my A350 with the supplied USB cable. i can over WIFI. I am using a iMac 10.13.06 High Sierra. the same issue exists for my Snapmaker Original.

Using my Macbook Air i can communicate with the Original, have not tried the A350. any thoughts as to why i am unable to establish communication?

Thanks

I’m assuming you’re connecting with mini-usb on SM since you said supplied cable.

Try downloading the driver from the SM downloads section.
For some reason some computers need it. Haven’t figured out a rhyme or reason.

Help.

I have the same problem. I try to instal the driver, bt it doesn’t help. Also im not sure the driver even instals properly. I am new at Mac so I have no idea how to do even the simplest of stuff on this machine.

I had hoped it was plug and play…

Its a MacBook Pro 2021.

Kind regards
Jonas

do you use the correct port on snapmaker like mentioned above?

Yes. Since it’s a Mac I use an usb c to usb mini.

On the SM it’s the port next to the port for controller, right?
