Can't connect to wifi unless I remove the password

Hi, I’ve search thru the forum but did not found a similar problem…

I’ve received my A350 a few weeks ago and I’ve never been able to connect it thru wifi.
It sees my router but once I enter the password, nothing happen. No error but still not connected.
Then I went into my router and remove the password (unsecure router), then the printer can connect to the wifi and everything is working fine. But as soon as I put the password back in the router, the printer will ask for a password but it will not connect. I’ve tried with a dumb password “aaaaaaaa” but it still can not connect.

I’ve just install the latest firmware but I have the same problem. It seems be some kind of incompatible configuration with the security in my router? My laptop and cell can connect to the router without any problem.

Here is how my router (in fact it’s a wired extender from my main router) is configured:

  • SSID: on
  • Security Type: wpa2-psk
  • Standard: 11b/g/n Mixed Mode
  • Country Region: FCC (US) (I’ve tried “Global” with the same problem)
  • Wi-Fi Channel: Auto
  • Channel Width: 20/40 MHz
  • Beacon Interval (ms): 100
  • Short GI: ON

If anybody has an idea, I’m open to your suggestions.
Thanks in advance

It could be that your wifi is using one of the channels that Snapmaker does not recognise as it’s set to Auto. Try changing it to a fixed channel in the “China” range to see if this works. If it does it would be great if you could raise it with Snapmaker as this needs fixed.

Thanks for the hint but it did not work… I’ve changed the router configuration to China which is limited to channels 1 to 13. I’ve tried with Auto channel or a fix channel. No problem with my laptop or cell but I still can not connect the printer to my wifi network. I can see the router but when I enter the password, nothing happen. No message, no error and no connection…

Change the router security to just wpa2

Try using a different security type, I use WPA2/WPA as my security mode. There’s also WEP, try that, maybe that one will work for you.

I only have those options on my extender:

  • Open
  • WPA/WPA2 mix
  • WPA2-PSK
  • WPA-PSK

So I’ve tried all of them. I’ve also tried many combination:

  • Standard: 11b, 11g, 11n, 11b/g/n mixed mode
  • Short GI: on/off
  • Different channels

I’ve also exported the log but I don’t see that much in it. Just saying it’s connecting to a network but no error.

Only the “Open” option is working but as it’s not secured…

I’m starting to run out of idea… :sob:

Thanks for your help

Hi, FYI I’ve sent an email to the support and they reply saying their engineers are presently working on a new firmware to fix wifi issues. They gave me a beta version of it and it solved my problem. Now I can connect without any issue.

Thanks to you for your suggestions.
