Wifi will not connect

I’m not able to connect to my wifi. I know my password, I tried changing the security settings on my wifi, but the ONLY setting I could get it to connect with is if I were to turn the security off, leaving me with an open wifi access point! I downloaded the latest firmware and installed via USB and got identical results.

Do you have fancy special chars in your WiFi ssid or password?

I have a-Z0-9 and some “normal special” chars like “!?± “ and had no problem to connect my snapmaker devices.

No, nothing special, and it’s not anything crazy long. But as far as SSID, it will connect once I turn the security off, just for troubleshooting, I’m not crazy enough to leave it open!

Ok, on the U1 I scrolled down the list of networks and found a switch, “Enable Maximum Compatibility”. After turning that on, it now connects. That is just…..odd. but it works now!

Great you found it.

Better then all your neighbours are using your U1 with open WiFi

Well, it’s been a while. I needed to reboot my U1 and am now back to where I began. Can’t connect to my own wifi. Nothing changed, settings are the same and the U1 keeps connecting to that open wifi and won’t connect to mine despite entering the right password. Has anyone found a way to remove previous networks so it won’t try to use them again by the way?
