Since firmware update, I’m now having an issue transferring files via wifi. When I transfer the file, the touchscreen acknowledges that it has been received but when I tap on ok, the touchscreen only shows the wifi “disconnect” option and I cannot access the file that should have been transferred.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions?
If not, can anyone recommend how to do a full factory reset so I can start from scratch (i.e, like startup out of the box). I have already tried a method that involves the M502 code via the serial connection but that doesn’t work.
Any help would be much appreciated as the unit is unusable (also cannot transfer files via usb, possibly due to the same underlying issue).
Make sure you have the right file type for the appropriate head that’s plugged in.
As @brent113 was alluding to, needs to be .cnc for cnc, .gcode for 3d, and .nc for laser.
Using the laser and sending the .nc G-code via wifi.
The file does transfers (as indicated by the transfer progress animation on the touchscreen), is received, but when I navigate to files no .nc files show. When I use USB, again no .nc files show.
Not sure if related but Luban is not recognising my machine when I connect via wifi and I have to manually select A350 and the laser toolhead.
Can you control the laser manually? (Make sure you’re wearing laser glasses and nothing you don’t want to wreck is under laser head)
A few things to try:
With power off unplug and replug your toolhead cable (both ends).
You can’t do a complete reset (it won’t restore the firmware) but you can reset settings:
You need to first enter development mode from the touchscreen. To do this, go to settings → about machine, then just press on the screen about 5 times consecutively (just as how to get development mode in standard android).
Then there will be two more icons on the main screen. Go to Experiment → Preference → Reset all. This option will clear out the on screen settings including calibration values (also the wifi thingy). But not the EEPROM from the controller (so all the G and M gcode settings)
You can try going back to an older firmware. Just load from usb. (You did do a firmware update with laser attached? Latest firmwares actually update the toolheads) Sometimes just trying firmware update a second time will fix things.
Thankyou!!! Of all the things that resolved my issue it was simply disconnecting the tool head at both ends with the power off. This actually reset the touchscreen (or perhaps just the tool head) back to factory and fixed the issue. Im now up and printing again!
