User experience with Snapmaker 2.0

Sorry but I have to commit that snapmaker is the worst machine I have ever used stand alone. Also the mechnic work done is great but there where no mechatronic designer involved because cableing is just not thought about.

  • No place take to in count where cabeliung should be gonig
  • Connector of the Modules are not in same spot and direction so that cabeling at homing (not stoppable) is smashed into the housing.
  • FW doesn’t alowe to get into main menu, when some unclear situations occur.
  • After change of Modul (Dual Extrustion module) it is not possible to abort calibration even there is a error while doin it and the solution is to update FW frist
  • It is not possible to update single Modul FW by Display after the Main Modul FW already is updated
  • Emergency Stop is not worth the name. It is just a simple Shut Off. By using everything switches off even the light ind the Case :frowning:
  • Moduls are not recognized after connectiong in on mode. You have to switch off on getting into dead lock with calibration issues.
  • Not possible to define often used postions to automatically move to
  • switching into move view, homeing is nessesary. No relative movement is possible even to clear it from some narrow situation where homeing will crash or wireing will be demaged.
  • While FW update often general setting are losed and are not possible to set befor starting the leveling wizards rely on some of the setting (like SnapKit usage etc.).

First I thought it a lot of issues will be fixed soon but nothing in the past two years realy happend. Due to the almost closed concept of the Snapmaker, it is also not possible to create own solution that will work, like it is possible with other system.

You have some minor, non-daily, scenarios which have potential to get optimized. And because of that “it is the worst machine”?
You have an interesting rating scale.

Snapmaker are not interested in improving the small issues.

This concerns me if you are changing modules with the machine switched on.

Fastest way to let the magic smoke out of 'em, especially if you accidentally pop it in backwards.
