After all the updates nothing works anymore. $2,500.00 down the drain. Do not buy!! No one will help you and if you try to call you get no one and it also costs $5 a min even if you dont get a hold of someone. PLEASE FIX!!!
That is not very informative.
Do you need assistance or conversation or did you just come to complain and never return?
I dont know where to start, nothing works and there is no one to talk to to help.
Normally then you assembled the machine not the correct way. Did you follow the instruction? Especially how to mount the linear modules (orientation, 8mm lead vs 20mm lead)?
Ive had it for about 4-5ish years and with every update its gotten considerably worse. I just did the firmware on the unit itself and now when i calibrate the laser and set thickness to 0.5 mm it just starts the test about 70mm away from the material.
Did you try a complete Firmware reset?
To perform a Full Factory Reset to the currently installed version of firmware, you need to Factory Reset both the Touch Pad and the Controller:
- Connect your computer to the Controller via USB (must be USB).
- Issue an M502 factory reset to the Controller.
- Put the Touch Pad into Developer Mode. This is done via the About page, and tapping the printer image 5 times. You’ll see a popup window when it changes modes.
- Reset and clear out the Touch Pad. You will need to navigate around to find this, as it seems to change with each version of firmware.
- Reinstall the currently installed version of firmware from a USB drive (must be from a USB drive). All versions of the firmware are available in the Snapmaker 2.0 Firmware Updates and Downloads thread.
- Update all of the modules.
This normally helps when Updates are making problems. Also the users reported that removing luban with all directories in appdata and program Files and a fresh reinstall solves some problems. are you using luban to laser?
Yes, I’m using Luban to laser.
Connect your computer to the Controller via USB (must be USB).
How do you do this? What ports do i use? The port under the one labled screen? (USB-A (to laptop) Mini-B to snapmaker)
Excatly. You should have a cable for this in your cables box. Connect normal USB A to PC and Mini USB B to Snapmaker next to the USB A and USB C connector.
