Btw.: I ordered a top cover but it will be delivered march next year. I`ve searched for an alternative

Quick update on where my head’s at:
What material should I use for the printed parts?
Besides acrylic, are there any other options for the clear cover?
Which standard screw size can cover everything—ideally just one?
The official dome is pretty tall; any tricks to cut down on material?

I would prefer a straight top plate without angles and slopes to place things on it. Maybe it is possible to add the snapmaker dryer boxes into it?
I share that concern:
With the dry-box on top, will it be difficult to feed the filament up through the 6 mm PTFE tube into the print head?

If you want to design the top cover yourself, here’s the 3D model of the U1 enclosure and key structures I reverse-engineered, packed as an STP file.
(PS: dimensions are not 100 % guaranteed, but I matched the real specs as closely as possible.)

The structure I originally envisioned would require too many extra parts. Although I came up with a fairly feasible idea—using thin PC sheet, rolled up for storage and then unrolled— it still involves manual cutting and buying additional components, so I’d rather keep looking for a simpler, cleaner solution that others can easily replicate.
I have reorganized my plan, analyzed the trajectory of the Teflon tube, and designed a frame that is as small as possible.

Considering the need for ventilation later, I will reserve common pipe installation positions in suitable places (with a diameter of 4 inches, which is 10.2 centimeters).
Since an electric screwdriver will be used, the most common self-tapping screw size is chosen: φ3.5×12 mm. Here I made the diameter of the hole that fits the screwdriver bit 10 mm to prevent mismatching with different bit diameters.
I love how I can accomplish so much from top without opening the front glass door.
If you’re considering feature requests, having a panel that we can open would be fantastic. It could also be used during PLA printing, eliminating the need to remove the entire cover.
My plan is to make the front panel transparent, magnetic, and removable; the left and right panels will also be detachable (though I’m inclined to offer a retrofit option). Later you could add an air-filter fan as needed.
