I have a problem.
While 3d printing, My spool was caught and lock up. It prevented the filament from feeding. The 3d head pulled until the plastic line broke.
Now, the head will not feed correctly.
It loads ok and oozes good if I click load. but when it starts printing it does not feed.
I think something was damaged in the 3d module?
I am sure someone has had the spool get caught up and lock up on them on something and cause the head to snap the line.
Any advice?
Have you opened the door on the module and looked at the extruder gear, see if it just got gummed up with bits it ‘shaved’ from the filament when it was tugging against the jam? Confirmed it is turning when directed to extrude? I’d start there see if it just needs a cleanup.
I got it fixed.
It was clogged up in there with little bits and pieces and wasn’t feeding good. But more importantly the calibration was off and the print head was too close to the print surface to extrude.
