Snapmaker快拆免插线改造 - quick swap with integrated cable connector

Thank you very much for your support

Considering that we still need to improve the strength of the structure, we introduced two support wheels by the way to avoid affecting our other modifications

I’m glad everyone likes our design,

From the initial DIY idea to the gradual formation of a product now, everyone’s liking is the biggest driving force for our improvement

Well, what’s with the other modifications…

For example, you need to strengthen the execution head fixation strength for CNC

Can you put a doll on top of it

How are you guys doing with the project?

It’s very exciting that SM can be activated with third-party products. This attachment seems to be well-built and interesting. However, I wonder what the selling price will be. The concept of reducing the effort of plugging and unplugging cables is good, but I’m not sure how many people would be willing to invest a significant cost for such a minor labor-saving feature. Considering the price of QuickSwap, going beyond $100 would be quite challenging. Personally, I would even hesitate to make a purchase at around $30. Well, I haven’t introduced QuickSwap myself. If you’re planning to sell it, it would be a good idea to do so before the enthusiasm for QuickSwap cools down.

Hi,haven’t seen you for a long time. Because many people also have needs for structural strengthening, we have improved the plug-in-free cable while also optimizing the strength of the execution head. We have modified many versions and are conducting actual tests to solve structural problems. I believe it will be completed soon

Thank you for your attention. We have now completed a large part of the structural verification and are solving the cost problem, because this requires the use of SLS processing to ensure a strong structure and beautiful appearance, so in order to be recognized by more people, it needs to be more perfect. We Artisan users would love something like this. Any chance you will adapt it to work with the Artisan quick-swap mechanism in which the modules slide in sideways?

If somebody donated the artisan to the devs

Do you have the model or part number of the connector that snapmaker uses or where I can purchase them from? Its the 8 pin connector with 2 larger pins for pwr and gnd, 6 smaller pins for signals.

I think those are propriety, you can only buy cables

oh that’s unfortunate, how are they going to make that add on? Seems like you need that connector on a custom PCB?

I’m guessing this might be one of the reasons things stalled a little. But, being inside China, I imagine you could just go and make them somewhere.
Hopefully they came up with something.

Hahahh, he just went on vacation. If he wants to, just to place an order online and send the design drawing, he will receive the finished PCB and SLS parts in 2-3 days.

In addition to verifying the plug-free module, we are currently synchronously designing modules to strengthen the structure to adapt to high-strength CNC.

When designing the plug-in-free module, I found that compatible structural reinforcement components were needed in the future, so I modified the design again.
