Hi,

Mine had this. I turned the machine off and back on. Now all it does is show the Snapmaker symbol. the lights on the enclosure flash on, then off. The screen is blank. nothing is working. There is still a light in the usb port. Any ideas?
@MattamusPrime did you disconnect/connect any cables? This usually happens when something gets plugged in wrong and blows the controller and/or whatever was connected wrong.
Thanks Artezio - UPDATE: I think it is the poor connection design for the plugs, esp with the cable for the screen next to the usb port, and all hitting the enclosure. Also, the connection for the screen doesn’t seem to lock in, like the others. It is quite loose, and a bit of a stretch to the enclosure holder
Thanks Artezio. Having the usb connection so close to the screen connection, a tight cable with the touchscreen mounted on the front of the enclosure, and all the cables being moved by the enclosure door is not a great design. It might be a good idea for Snapmaker to look at changing the plugs (to face backwards or making a 90-degree angle) for those that use an enclosure. Another thought would be to shift the unit a bit closer to the opposite side, via different foot fixtures. It could be moved 12mm at least.
@MattamusPrime the easiest solution would be to just mount the touchscreen on the side of the enclosure closer to the controller, on the top so it’s still easily accessible but not stretching the cord so far.
I see people are buying usb extension cords to help with the issue. Great idea. I must bend down to see the vertical facing screen. Would be easier if it was angled.
Cheers, MJ
@MattamusPrime the issue is that the Snapmaker USB-C is non-standard and it’s very hit and miss with extensions.
