Snapmaker 2 Enclosure not being recognized

So I just now finished assembling my SM2 A350 enclosure but it’s not being recognized by the machine (indicator is, that I do not see the 5th menu point “Enclosure”). The power supply is working, since the hall effect switch’s light is on, so the cables should not be defective. I also already upgraded to the latest firmware.

What can I do?

Did you update to the latest firmware?

There’s some bugs in the latest, need to downgrade to the previous version

I had a similar issue. If you have access to a multimeter, run a few tests (there’s one to test the cable to ensure that it has continuity between the pins and another to make sure that you’re getting appropriate power).

There is another support page link somewhere that talks about hooking up a computer directly and talking to the snapmaker via the console but I can’t find that one at the moment…

For me it turned out that the enclosure adaptor itself was DOA so the Snapmaker folks sent me out a new one. I pulled the old one apart and can’t see anything physically wrong with it but haven’t had a chance to properly electrically test it.
