Hi , I’m very new to both 3D printing and the Snapmaker. My problem is with the Enclosure for my Snapmaker 350. The work ok when i first put it together and connected it to the machine, I could see it on the control screen and could turn the lights and exhaust fan off. But now it has gone from the screen completely, I have un plugged the cable from the enclosure and checked it, I have checked for new firmwere but is its not working. Any ideas of what the problem could be would be appreciated.
Regards Madg
I had this situation once too!
I checked all the Enclosure-plugs and restarted the Snapmaker → since that it works fine…
but i couldn’t find the failure, all Cables seems to be ok??? would be nice to here from others if they had similar problems.
If it had recognized it in an intermittent pattern, I’d suspect the hub inside the enclosure where everything plugs in, but that may not be what’s going on with it. As @3DSW said, unplug everything and plug it back in, I also vaguely recall something about a firmware bug requiring a complete factory reset then updating to the latest firmware again.
Here’s how to factory reset:
I have the same problem ! checked l all good turned on and off with cables plugged in and without , still no control of light or fan HELP !!
What firmware are you on? If you’ve never updated then it’s likely a version before enclosure support was added.
i have been using it since I got it purchased with the A350 it was working the last time iI used it 2 days ago
Another idea !
Are you waiting for the complete Booting of the Snapmaker until you interact with the Snapmaker-Controlpanel?
Maybe that could be a reason?
Hi, sorry for the delay. I have just turned my machine on for the first time in 3 days and now the enclosure is working normally again. I can’t give any reason for this, just hope it keeps working?

Hi again, I have just cycled the power on my machine and now the enclosure is not working again. I did a firmware update before the enclosure stopped working properly, could this be the reason?
maybe.
A firmware bug seems to be the most obvious reason for this behavior.
And it seems that your are not the only one who is affected.
@Madg ok so it’s intermittent. Unfortunately this means either the hub on the top back rail of the enclosure is bad, the cable is bad, or the port on the controller that the enclosure connects to is bad. You need to contact support at this point. Hopefully it’s just the cable but I doubt it.
