Thank you for your suggestions on how to make the Snapmaker 2.0 better. Your feedback is always appreciated. Here comes the latest version of the Snapmaker 2.0 firmware.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that Touchscreen did not show dialog when 20W/40W Laser Module sensor triggered
  • Fixed a bug that when Snapmaker Luban could not change nozzle and heated bed temperature when connected via Wi-Fi

Mainboard

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed 20W/40W Laser Module exception behavior when started a new print job.
    • In this version, the machine will not start a new print job when status is abnormal
  • Fixed a bug that X/Y will shift when starting a print job with 20W/40W Laser in some scenario
    • When starting a new print job using crosshair mode in touchscreen, X/Y will shift when executing G-code which was using relative mode

Improvements

  • Optimized 3DP Module park position when print job paused
    • In this version, the 3dp module will park at the opposite x position
  • Improved 20W/40W Laser Module sensor behavior
    • When flame sensor is triggered, the machine will turn off tool head fans for safety
    • Fixed power loss recovery will fail when flame sensor is triggered

  • This firmware update is only compatible with Snapmaker 2.0.
  • To see your current firmware version, go to Settings > About Machine .

How to Update Firmware

  • Via a USB flash drive
    • Put the firmware update file Snapmaker2_V{version}.bin in your USB flash drive.
    • Plug the drive into the Controller.
    • On the Touchscreen, tap Files > USB > Snapmaker2_V{version}.bin.
  • Via Wi-Fi
    • On the Touchscreen, tap Settings > Firmware Update.
    • Read the changelog and download the firmware.
    • After the firmware is downloaded, tap Update Now.
