When I go to run a laser project, I use “Manual” mode, and use the touchscreen to jog the laser to the origin of the work.
When I press “Set Work Origin” on the touchscreen, the UI becomes greyed out while the operation happens - but it never returns. I cannot use any of the jog controls, run boundary, etc.
The only thing I can do is hit the “back” button in the top left, then hit “Ready” on the “put on your goggles” warning screen to re-enter the jog screen.
Why does pressing “Set Work Origin” cause it to become mostly unresponsive? I updated the firmware a week or two ago, so that’s not likely it (and may even be a cause).
I’m also having issues with it forgetting the wifi password, so am going to try a beta firmware that @Edwin posted in another thread - will see if that fixes it.

Uh oh. Anything interesting in the logs if you export the touchscreen logs? Sounds like something is crashing.

Yea something definitely crashed after an image capture.
Also looks like there’s a newer firmware?
Are you on the latest firmware?
I’d recommend 1) make sure you’re up to date 2) try and get it so you can crash it repeatably and 3) find where in the logs that occurred at and send it to support so they can review.

I am on 1.12 touchscreen and firmware, 4.2.1 for controller, I think. Those logs may be from a while ago (yeah, February, looks like, maybe?).
You’ve pointed me in a new direction, though, so I’ll start doing my own digging. Thanks for helping me learn! I’ll post back if I find anything new.
The date didn’t even register. I just went to the bottom of the file which is the newest.
There should be a newer file probably sc_4 or something.
