All good. I am doing it for a job for a colleague. I ended up just using my 10w laser as all I wanted to do was to remove the coating and have the silver showing. (So the IR wasnt the tool I wanted to use anyway!). I am still wanting to get my IR laser’s crosshairs though actually useful. If its off that much I’m going to waste of a lot of materials. I did a few small shapes on the backside to test it first. I could have made the design bigger the contrast between the engraved area and the speckled coating could have been better, but I think it turned out alright.
