Hi, just wanted to report a bug I’ve seen repeatedly now. The print will just ‘hang’ right after homing on any second print attempt, after aborting a first attempt (e.g. to Adjust settings). This is on an A250 with enclosure, if it matters.
Steps to replicate. 2-4 are things I do before every print just in case I’ve distorted the print surface by removing and/or replaced it inverted, might not be related to actual bug behavior observed.
-
I have gcode for a part generated using Luban 3.8, copied to the USB stick, stick in the machine.
-
I turn on machine. After touchscreen boots, turn on LED lights, go to Control, initiate homing.
-
I set my heaters on (~125 nozzle, 75 bed) and wait for temps.
-
Calibrate (bed autoleveling).
-
Either hit ‘start’ or ‘swipe’ to "Files’ and pick a print out of my USB stick files. Initiate print. The machine always verified Home position, then moves the bed and nozzle to place the nozzle at print height in the front left corner and begins heating to work temp.
-
Sometimes on the ‘skirt’ it’s obvious that I didn’t select quite right for my final calibration height, either a bit too loose (strings are being dragged not adhering) or I see too much kind of ‘bubbling’ or blobbiness indicating too little nozzle distance to bed. I always do about 4-5 skirts as both nozzle prime since last print and for this visual test. So say I don’t like what I see and hit Cancel and Confirm to stop print. Machine escapes and goes back into waiting mode.
-
Re-select same File, this time going to Adjust settings. I have seen the following behavior when changing Z offset, nozzle temp, work speed, both, I don’t think the exact change matters. Just change something, return out of adjustments and initiate the print again.
-
THIS IS THE BUG. The printer will repeat the ‘home’ operation check but IMMEDIATELY after the bed does the quick Y run-to-stop and then recheck, instead of starting to travel backward to initiate the heating position with the nozzle ready to wipe, everything just HANGS and stops.
-
If I try to interact with the touchscreen at this point it will respond to a cancel, and go to the confirmation page, but then not respond to confirmation. So you can just go back and forth between the 2 screens but the machine appears hung.
-
Power off and back on, wait for reboot. Reinitiate print, with prior adjustments. Everything’s fine.
TLDR: every time I try to ‘repeat’ a previously cancelled job on 1.10.1 the machine hangs until I power cycle. That said, I have not seen the frozen at 99% bug that I (randomly) saw on 1.10.0.
