Here is a potential way to upgrade the laser without adding weight to the X&Z rails. Anybody try anything like this?
Yes, and it was rather belittled 
TL;DR: It is easier and cheaper to get a ready-to-use 40W CO2 laser cutter/engraver than upgrading your Snapmaker.
