"no tool head detected"

Just put my new A350 together, have it setup for 3d printing. When I go into calibrition, I get the message “no tool head detected”. I checked cables and they look fine.
Anyone had this problem?
Thanks, Steve

went back and unplugged and replugged all of the controller cables, and reversed the tool head cable end-to-end. Things started working! Solved.

I try tounplugged and replugged, reboot sevaral times. It’s still no tool head detected T-T.

Try to change to CNC and Laser tool head are the same “No tool head is detected.”

Check the other connectors—the problem could be between the unit and the touchscreen, for instance.

Here is an article for your reference:

Thank you for kindly advise from snapmaker support team. I appliciate for very quick respond and advise.

For now, I verify defect by swap toolhead cable with Z cable as per support team advise, and check cable continuity found toolhead cable not proper condition. and Snapmaker support will send the new cable to replace in very soon. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Dear all- since two month I’m trying to solve my issue together with the support:
No toolhead detected.
Got a new controller
New cables
Updated everything
Reconnected everything
Nothing helped

The ToolHeads are not recognized: Therefore no Calibration, No function.
Do you have a solution- it’s really frustrating!

Hello Andreas, maybe the toolheads are defect? But I have no Idea how to test this when I asume that all 3 are bad.

It appears that this article is no longer there?
is this the new article? What should I do if the machine cannot detect all the tool-heads? – Snapmaker

Yes, this is the new article.

Mostly, you need to check if other tool-heads can be detected and then try the conversion cables.

I had the same problem after my controller has died and I bought a new one. The touchscreen said, the newest firmware was installed. But it lied (cause the new controller had an older firmware). I had to manually download the latest firmware from Snapmaker firmware-website. I then put it on a USB stick and manually installed it on my A350. After the installation all toolheads are recognized and working.
