A350 don't detect modules correct

I have a Snapmaker A350 with the 40W laser and 200W CNC head
Suddenly it says that it has the 3D toolhead mounted regardless of what I have on.
(Ironically I haven’t had that toolhead mounted during the last few years, use other machines for FDM)
It even says that it has the 3D toolhead when I don’t have any toolhead attached at all.
I have tried rebooting, refreshing and cursing.

Do you have any other suggestions for me so that I can do the final part of the project I’m working on right now?

Albert Einstein: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

Well, firmware update didn’t help.
Downgrading firmware didn’t help.
Going back to the latest firmware again did help?!?

Well… Going back to my insanity and the next project is running now.

I’m having similar issues ( A350 not detecting modules ), has your a350 continued to work/detect all your modules after downgrading and upgrading the firmware?

Based on your comment here I am attempting to downgrade to 1.18.2, then back up to 1.20.3.

I feel a little crazy though trying to get this thing working/having no clear viability into why it is not behaving.

One follow up question, what modules did you have installed when you downgraded and upgraded in case that is a factor.

Yeah, sometimes that is what is required. I also helps to make sure you are cycling power on the machine after any firmware change before attempting to use it.

The firmware gets loaded into and stored in the machine’s recent memory (similar to a computer’s RAM), and it is only cleared during a power cycle.
