Need Help- File Upload Failed on Snapmaker 3D Printer

Hey Snapmaker Community,

I’m reaching out because I’ve hit a bit of a snag with my Snapmaker 3D printer. I keep getting the “File Upload Failed” error whenever I try to upload a new print file. It’s been driving me a bit crazy because I’m not sure what the issue is.

When I was searching about this I came across to these resources A potential cure for silent print fails and failed wireless transfers splunk tool and as per them I have tried the following-

  1. Double-checked that my file format is correct (I’m using .stl files).
  2. Ensured that the file size is within the printer’s limits.
  3. Restarted both the printer and my computer.
  4. Used different USB drives and even tried uploading via Wi-Fi.

Despite all that, the error persists. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, how did you resolve it? I’m really excited to get back to printing, and any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Hi,

Are you sure you want to send stl files to the snapmaker?
This will be just the 3d objects. You have to slice it to gcode for example with luban.

As Wyphorn said, you don’t upload the STL files. They need to sliced first and turned into gcode which is what the printer understands. The provided Luban software will slice the stl and upload the gcode to printer.
