Mirror object for slicing

I want to print two versions of the same object, one of them mirrored. Is it possible to mirror them in the slicer? I know I can mirror them outside luban.

I didn’t found a mirroring option.
It’s not in the right click menu.

Also, I tried to scale to a negative value, but the lowest is 0. So the object just became flat.

Not in the current version. But what you could do as an alternative solution is that you can duplicate the file and rename it and import it again into Snapmaker Luban. Then you would have two of the same objects.

The size is has to be equal or greater than 0%. You can move or rotate the object to achieve the same result. Please let us know if you need more assistance :+1:

Rotating an object will not mirror it. Well, if it is symmetrical, it will. But then I can just rotate it in realspace after the print is done.

I don’t care about the orientation on the buildplate.

If you rotate in the xy plane by 180 then by 180 in the zy plane it will reult in the same as the mirror. At least in the example you show. But I don’t believe that to be true for all objects.

No, I am not printing exactly that.

This is the part. One of them is mirrored in the slicer.

Yea, in general I would recommend using cura or simplify3d for more advanced slicing controls. The luban slicer is intended for quick & simple needs and is provided for convenience. (It is actually a split from an old cura version)

Did you find a solution for this within Luban? I am finding that I need to mirror a file as well.

you can download windows 3d builder and mirror models with it

its free and surprisingly simple to play with, kinda fun.
