Hi, after being away for a while I am getting back into using my Snapmaker A350. I did a clean install of the latest Luban and I am having problems 4.13.0 starting. It just sits at the initial splash screen running through the logo. I left it for 30 mins, but nothing happened.
I have checked the A350 and made sure the firmware is up to date. I have checked both the PC and the A350 are on the same network and even connected the USB cable but Luban will not start.
Any thoughts? I read somewhere resetting Lubans config would fix the issue but you need to start the software to do that, so no idea how that would work?
That’s a software error, nothing to do with the SM machine, connected or not.
I assume your running windows as an OS as you do not say.
Firstly, I would copy your config files for Luban into a separate folder, then uninstall Luban and delete the config files. The config files I think are kept in C:\Users\Administrator\AppData from memory, although they could be elsewhere on some machines, depending on your initial install.
Then re-install Luban as a clean install. See if it runs. If yes, try re-copying your config files back over the new ones where Luban installs them now, and see if that runs.
If Luban will not run at any stage, then I’m guessing it’s probably a config problem jumping from an old version right to a new one, or windows problem, or graphics driver problem. Hard to diagnose with only a little info.
I followed your instructions. It was definitely a config issue. A clean install worked, but adding the old config file back caused it to hang again. I will just have to redo the configs on the new version.
Thanks very much for the assist - much appreciated!
There is one of the config files that seem to cause issues. Replacing it with the version from a new installation seems to be the answer. Search the forums for which file.
