I’ve noticed the following things about my SM 2.0, and I’m not sure whether they are issues or non-issues for this machine.
- When setting up the bed level, I’ve noticed that the print head is about 1cm to the left of center. Also, when it is warming up to print, my print head always ends up off the edge of the printing space by about the same amount:
- It extrudes material before it moves to the bed to start printing. Here is a post print example of what it leaves behind:
- And finally, when it starts printing, no matter where the build is in the Luban interface, it always starts in the upper left hand corner of the bed. As you can see in the above picture, this small model was positioned dead center in Luban, but is far from center on the bed.
Are any of these problems, and if they are, how do I correct them?

For the first two questions, yes this is normal. The probe for auto-leveling is offset from the nozzle by about the distance that you mentioned. The print head warming up and extruding off the edge of the platform is so that it can purge some filament before starting a print, which helps with print quality.
For the third issue, this is not typical behavior. If you are using Luban, make sure you have it set to the right machine. For example, having Luban set for an A150 when you are using an A350 could lead to the issue you are experiencing.
Ah! I totally missed that when I started using the Luban software!
I’ve switched it out in settings, and I’ll check that out on the next print. I didn’t change the Z-Axis Extension Module setting. What is that for, exactly?
I believe the Z-Axis extension module setting is for the snapmaker original. You should be able to keep that unselected for the 2.0
Much obliged for the quick responses!
