How to make different CNC passes (rough / fine)

Hey Community,

Is there any detailed description or guide in the forum about how to properly use the 200W CNC module for different kind of passes (rough/fine) on the same model.

I am currently trying to figure out how to set up multiple passes for an imported STL file β€” for example, starting with a roughing pass (trimming most of the material, e.g. using a ball head bit) and then performing a finer finishing pass to get the details right (e.g., using a V-bit).

Could you provide me with an instructions or point me to a resource that explains how to achieve this workflow with STL files?

Many Thanks!

All the best
Ben

Here is a guide about using multi pass with Fusion 360:

There is a lot around in the forum.

Thanks you xchrisd!
Will have a look

There was a similar question recently.

Follow the two YouTube videos about Fusion 360 mentioned in this topic:

The only issue with multi passes is being able to set the same Z height after a tool change or using tools with a datum ring on the shank.
