Successfully used the Laser for a couple of weeks.
Switched to the 3D print head today and was able to successfully print a Benchy boat. Then I successfully printed another item from Thingiverse. A third item failed and printed a rats nest.
Started over. Rats nest again.
Started over again. Wouldn’t print at all. Returned an error code of 409 (I think this was the right code number). Started over a couple more time. Error code again and again.
Rebooted my computer. Rebooted the machine. Attempted to print the “benchy” again. Failed to start. Error code again.
Tried the vase that came with Luban. Nothing. It loads the G-code to the workspace, but refuses to start in Luban. Forces me to upload it to the machine. I do. Then it wont do anything. Returns a message, “Unable to start the job. Check your machine settings and try again.”
Rebooted everything again and tried the Benchy again. Same results. Won’t print
Running the latest Windows on a machine that is less than a year old.
All Snapmaker is updated. And was working.
Luban is updated. And was working.
I would suggest to try with a older Luban version:
One to be said, i would suggest to print from the machine touchscreen to avoid problems with wifi and the usability of power loss recovery and filament runout (not sure) is only over the touchscreen given.
The version of Luban is 4.40 and it is the Snapmaker 2.0 A350T.
And I got it working on the 5th re-boot. When it did boot up, I connected to the machine via Wi-Fi. It connected right away, but it only showed “single extrusion” and “heated bed.” So I disconnected via the computer and re-connected. This time the “enclosure” and the “emergency stop button” appeared as before, plus the other two.
I then loaded the ‘benchy’ and printed it and it looked better than the first one. I’ve been printing “flat” prints since and it is working well.
I’m thinking one of the items I downloaded from Thingiverse may have had some setting in it that Luban or the Snapmaker didn’t know, like or could follow.
Thanks for the prompt replies. I’m sure it will happen again, but until then, I’ll keep learning. I think it strange that I can’t find out what the error codes are from the Snapmaker/Luban web site.
Could you print normally from the Touchscreen? Error 409 usually means that there might be problems with the printing toolhead, or that the filament runout detector is triggered somehow. If you cannot print from the Touchscreen either, I suggest contacting our Support at support@snapmaker.com. There’s no error code list available currently.
I think you just hit the nail on the head. I was going to change the filament and “unloaded” the black filament. Then I changed my mind and just reloaded it a few minutes later. That’s when my problems started.
Anyway, all is working well now and I am printing up a storm.
