File size transfer/loading issues, errors and crashes (gcode larger than around 250Mb)

Hello, I have a problem with files larger than 250Mb (appoximately), loading of the file from USB takes a long time, and it just crashes after the transfer, following any interaction with the screen.
Smaller files are working.
Firmware is up-to-date.
The part is sliced at 0.2 and is a single element (so the size cannot be easily reduced further).
It seems that different files, also from different slicers, suffer from the same problem.

I’ve seen others are having similar issues:

Plus other discussions where this isn’t the main concern or were it was possible to use a smaller file.

Now, is there any workaround (not requiring a modification of the geometry to be printed) to this?
Or are there enough people having this problems that some kind of update/solution is warranted?

Thanks!

Have you checked what the maximum file size is that’s supported by the formatting used on the USB stick?

Yes, FAT32 (the format used by the usb pen coming with the Snapmaker 2.0) allows for 4Gb files, also, a file size limit would not allow the writing of the file, not the following reading from the printer.

All things considered, a 250Mb - even if gcode - is not SO HUGE nowadays, well… it’s not really “large” anymore…

In any case, thank you for your input!
