Filament gears not moving

Hey all, hoping that you might have some ideas here. I’m trying to get this snapmaker 2.0 printer working, and I’m having a few issues. (I have updated all the firmware (as of 8/18/24)). I did have a bad printhead cable (with damaged wires), which had blew a different laser head, as well as a different print head.

3D printer- Filament wont load for either single head, or for the dual heads. I did check the filament gears, and the gears dont move when “load” or “unload” is selected. If I have the tension gear pulled away, I can manually push the filament through the heat block and out the nozzle, so there is not a clog.

Laser- After the initial safety screen, I cant get past the ‘toolhead focus calibration’. Hitting start does not make it move on.

Could this be a controller issue? Very frustrating. Thanks!

Try to reroot the toolheadport with M1029, have a look here:
https://snapmaker.github.io/Documentation/gcode/M1029

Unfortunately it seems you will need a new controller…

THANK you for pointing me in the right direction. Running those commands DID allow me to load filament and print using the single and dual head. After spending a few days trying to get ‘something’ to work on the printer, its nice to make some progress!
Unfortunately, this did not fix the issue I am having with the laser head. Any suggestions on how to fix the remainder? Thanks in advance!

If you can use your print head with the add on port, this means your controller is defective. It is listed on the snapmaker store.

The laser and cnc head can’t be used on the add on port as it stands in the M1029 documentation.
Hopefully your laser toolhead isn’t defect as well…
