Has anyone experimented or indeed had a need to depart from the 0.4 mm diameter nozzle that seems to have become a standard size. I have received a kit containing 0.6 and 0.8 mm nozzles.
For normal stuff 0.4 is fine. If you want to use fiberglass, wood or carbon fiber filament, it gets clogged less using 0.6
Also if you have a large, less detailed print, a larger nozzle will print a little faster.
Finer nozzles, like 0.2 are good for tiny details.
For me, I’m happy with a 0.6 for pretty much everything. But the things I print are usually car parts and practical things with not such fine detail.
Yes, I have used 0.6, 0.8, and 1.0, in addition to the standard 0.4. Is there a specific question you have in regards to them?
