Hi,
Just reporting that I successfully created my first object in Blender, and exported to Luban and printed it.
Just a simple cube with some extrusions and beveling, and a curved face, to see how the printer does with it. Exported directly to STL file format, and imported into Luban.
As to the scaling needed? In the end, I did not need to change any of the default scale inside Blender.
Only the scene display setting to millimeters, from meters.
Everything else was default.
Result: 1:1 scale was what happened. No resizing nor messing about was required.
Apparently, this used to be an issue, as I researched it online. Not with my current setup.
Also test printing using the new Amazon Basics PLA filament. Will create another post with how it goes. That filament says “no heated bed required”, but yes, it does. Finding out what temperature for the heated bed is best, as 60c is too much, the first few layers are getting warped down with the weight of the subsequent layers, and no heating produces warpage of the first layers not staying in place on the bed, but ciming unstuck and then cooling off the bed.
