Hi there,
When doing leveling calibration the Z axis will not move but X and Y axis movements will.
The Z axis do work as I am able to move them using the controls and the two rails function fine.
I have attached a video showing the issue. (Ignore the sound in the background input shaping on a K1 Max)
I have had this issue in the past many months ago but I can’t remember how it was fixed or it may of fixed itself.
Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
Many thanks!
It’s moving from point to point quicker than normal. It seems that it thinks it is already near the bed and won’t descend any more. The bed sensor is faulty or is covered with something.

Check your FW is all up to date.
I dont think it’s the sensor or it would not detect the plate and go too low.

Unless the sensor is constantly tripped, in which case it won’t allow it to go down.
@Phunk I agree with @Boxkite . The sensor is the first thing I would check.

Thanks for the suggestions. The senor light appears to be on. I’ve updated all firmware.
I’ll take apart the tool head and maybe reseat the sensor?
the sensor light comes on when the sensor is near magnetic metal. if the light is on it thinks its near the bed steel sheet.
there is a screw on the back for adjusting sensor z. you could try loosening and moving sensor to see if light goes out.
the light shouldn’t be on unless you get metal next to it so it is likely the source of trouble
