My A350 already had a quick swap kit, and I had no issues leveling or 3d printing. However, I recently installed the new Bracing Kit. After doing so, it will not level correctly.
I’ve done/tried the following:
Installed the latest firmware 1.20.3
changed the settings in the A350 to reflect that the bracing kit is installed
Ran an auto leveling
Ran several manual leveling runs
However, when I try to print the head drags across the surface and scars the print bed. It’s clearly too low.
I looked for a Z offset in the firmware but there isn’t anywhere to set that so it must just come from the leveling.
What can I do to correct this? As this point, the printer is useless.
When you installed the FW update, did you have the print module attached so it could update?
Then shut down and restarted the machine for changes to take affect?
Are you implying that I must install the firmware with each module attached. Got 4 modules therefore I should install the firmware 4 time??? Surely not!
I beg to differ - this was the advice once, two years ago or so. Since then, it is enough to run the update with just the head currently installed.
I remember a few posts here in the forum where Z-heights were off, and I seem to remember that the thing that finally helped was a factory reset. Of course note down any manual settings you did before, they’ll be lost.
