A350 plus additional modules = F350?

Hi all,

I am going to buy me a Snapmaker soon. Beeing on a tight hobbyist budget I am looking for a used machine in good condition. I was offered an F350 for a reasonable price. The seller says that this was an “advanced” model compared to the A350T. I dare to doubt, but I am not sure. Who can clarify?

From reading the papers I’d say that the base machine of both is the same, but the F model was not sold bundled with a laser and a CNC unit. And that the F350 supposedly has the older linear rails found in the A350. I guess the seller has bought the laser- and the CNC module from an A350 and tries to sell the whole bundle together now. But even if the modules of the A model fit into the mounting plate of the F unit (do they?), his unit still would not match the A350T since it would lack the advanced linear rails.

If someone tells me that there isn’t any other difference, i.e. not even the controller or the firmware distinguishes between the A and the F model I would consider the F350 a 1:1 replacement and won’t mind. Is this the case? Can I buy the F350 with the additional modules and get the same as if I had bought an A350?

Thnx,

Armin

Original A models are the full set with the old, loud 8mm lead linear modules.

the AT models are with the upgraded quiet linear modules (20mm on Y and X) and comes with the revision of the single extruder, CNC, and laser.

the F models are exactly the same as AT, except they only came with the 3D print module and heated bed.

Functionally, physically, and everything else, the A350T and F350 are exactly the same it’s just what parts they came with. If you buy the laser module, laser bed, CNC module, and CNC platform, it would be the exact same as buying an A350T.

I personally have an older A350 and an F350, so I can claim 100% the F350 has the newer linear modules.

EDIT: Basically the F350 was for people looking for the snapmaker cheaper so they could buy the module upgrades they wanted in the future instead of lumping out at once for the full AT package. There’s nothing else different.
