Wifi Router Settings

Hey All,

I am unable to connect wirelessly to my A350 ever since I have received it a few months back, using my desktop that’s connected via ethernet to my router. My laptop, connected wirelessly to the same router, could not see it as well. However, I used my phone as a hotspot for the A350 and laptop, and the laptop/luban was able to see the A350. So that leads me to believe something on my router is not letting luban talk to the a350.

My desktop can ping the A350. And I tried both 2.4 and 5 GHz. Luban, A350, and my router are all on the latest firmware as of this post, but I still get “No machines detected.”

Does anyone know any recommended router settings to look for on my asus router?

make sure you do not have your firewall settings that are blocking it.

I have tried briefly turning off my router and desktop firewalls to no change. I also added inbound and outbound rules for Luban, but didn’t work either.

Is your A350 also on the newest firmware V1.7.1.1?
And the newest Luban 3.4.2?

Yes, A350 on 1.7.1.1
And Luban was on 3.3.3 and then also tried 3.4.2 before this post

If you are using the latest firmware, you can see the IP address of the Machine in “Settings -> About Machine”. In my case, is 172.18.1.62.

You can use your laptop to ping it directly to see if they are connected.

Generally, Snapmaker 2.0 Wi-Fi Connection needs your laptop (PC) and Snapmaker in the same subnetwrok (if my net mask is 255.255.255.0, my laptop should have a IP address of 172.18.1.X as well).

Desktop (wired), laptop(wireless), and A350 on the same router.
Desktop and Laptop can ping the A350, but Luban cannot see it on both machines.

My subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.
Desktop IP is 192.168.50.99. A350 is 192.168.50.231.

Weird. Either there’s a bug in Luban in version 3.3.3, or your router blocks UDP broadcast.

I think it’s my router, but wasn’t sure what settings to look at. I will look into udp settings on it.

I was finally able to figure it out. It was not my router, but my desktop. I was finally able to get one of my old router’s from my mom’s place and confirmed my desktop was working after removing the static IP.

I knew it was something on my side but could not figure it out. I had set up a static IP a long time ago for the use of a pihole, but have since retired the pihole.

I remember seeing you post this in our Facebook group as well. Thanks for sharing the cause/solution :grinning:
