Why the model is not hollowed when I select "Linkage" in Snapmaker Luban

Some users reported that the module is not hollowed in Snapamker Luban even they select “Linkage”.

When you simulate the model in Snapmaker Luban, the previewing module will not show the hollowed area, because emulation can consume a lot of computer memory, which can cause software crash.

If you observe the toolpath of the model, you can see that the area between the legs is hollowed out.

The model is the same as that one in the promotional advertisement when you select “Linkage.”

Hello, Edwin

Is this a software memory limit to a certain degree, or is it limited by the RAM storage present?
(i.e., if I were to increase the RAM in my motherboard to say…128GB, 3600 MHz, would that make the emulation preview show more of that area hollowed out, without going to Toolpath?)

Unfortunately Edwin no longer works at snapmaker, and the current team isn’t very active on the forum. I would guess that this is a software limit though. You could always reach out to support and see if they have a more complete answer.
