When the printer is moving the Y-axis there’s a horrible rubbing noise that happens. I’ve tried all kinds of things to prevent this, such as increasing the Z-axis displacement, recalibrating and also calibrating the extruder.
Is this some kind of joke? All the sounds sound wonderful and exactly at the moment when it starts to sound a little unusual, the video breaks off. If the nozzle makes different types of infill sound like a musical instrument by “pinging” them, then that’s fine, as long as the print quality is also fine!
I had no idea how to describe it but this is most certainly not meant to happen. I realize the sound of the motors is quite loud in the video.
Here’s a point at which you can 100% hear the rubbing.
I’ve found that a tiny bit of WD-40 sorted the problem and solved a few printing issues I was having too. I’m going to get some lithium grease to lubricate it with in a few days.
