USB file list "File is empty." Can't upgrade

My machine is unable to read any USB drive I insert into it. I recognized a drive is present, in that it enables the USB button in the file list. However it always reads “File is empty” in the file list UI on the touch screen.

I’ve tried different USB drives. I’ve formatted them as either FAT or FAT32. They read fine in both Mac and Windows.

Has anyone else had this problem? I can’t upgrade my firmware without this (or use my enclosure).

Sounds like you’ve seen the other forum posts recommending FAT32. Only other thing that comes to mind is if the thumb drive has a very large capacity that won’t work, someone had issues with a 64GB? I also had issues with an older thumb drive but had luck with a newer one.

Resolved by using the included thumb drive (that I didn’t know I had)
