Its possible to flash it with a py Script via Computer, look at the github readme, its explained there.
aha looks like it communicates through com serial port, so it seems that the ace should be connect directly to the computer.
Yes, you need the K1 cable and a molex to usb, like described in the hardware section
Thank you. This made install a snap. Stoked my second ace is on the way. Can you tell me how to access the custom dashboard. Thanks
Hi
printerip/multiace
I would appreciate if anyone could help me getting the ACE working with the U1. I just need it to dry. I will feed from the U1 feeders since my ACE always had issues with its sensors. I’m ready to drill hole and install tubes from the ACE to the feeders but I just can’t get the dryer to start. I don’t want a full config script since I don’t want to feed from it. Anyone did that?
FYI:
I soldered a USB-C female to the ACE.
I have a good data cable pluggued in.
I had Paxx FW, i switched to a version that already supports the ACE. Supposed to..
I can upload any cfg file that can help trigger the dryer only…
Thanks
There is no solution which only dries, but the U1 Ace Software from Dng Crafts supports using the feeders and has a firmware version thats easy to install. I suggest trying that and open an issue on his github, if it doesn’t work.
Thank for your answer. Indeed Dng is the fw I use. I will try to make it work!
If someone get into this situation, take note that for now it is my bad.. teared down the ace to test my solder and seen that i used an adapter male USB-A to MALE USB-C that was just power no data. I think once this solved it might just work.
Just one note: don’t connect V+, just three wires:
- D+
- D-
- GND
I have everything installed and working, but I keep getting this error every few minutes constantly, without any bottlenecks or anything like that. If I press “resume,” it prints fine again, but less than a minute later, it stops and shows this error again. I’m posting here because I don’t know where to report issues on GitHub. Sorry about that. I would appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.
Disable Air Print Detection
I’m getting the same error but only on tool head one. Like you said hit resume & it will start printing for awhile. I’m not using the Multi ACE Pro. I’m going to bypass my feeder & see if I still get the error.
This seems to be working for me for now. Thank you very much, I’ll keep testing everything.
Hello! — my Ace2Pro and the cables finally arrived, and I started testing a couple of days ago.
But there’s one problem that keeps tripping me up:
the Ace2Pro often can’t successfully feed the filament all the way to the toolhead. It tends to jam about halfway along the path — I can hear the motor running, but the filament doesn’t budge at all, and even after multiple retries it still gets stuck at the exact same spot. I wanted to ask whether you’ve ever run into anything like this?
I’m using Bambu Lab plastic spools. I’m planning to buy some of Anycubic’s official filament and give it another go.
Since this is an Ace2Pro issue, I didn’t post it on GitHub :>
Hi, no never ever, only with knots in the filament.. Firmware Update done?
Yes, I updated the firmware, my 2 Ace2Pro are both running on 1.1.31.
I’m planning to try replacing or shortening the bowden tube and then test it again.
Both 2 ace2pro have the exact same problem ![]()
Same problem with same spools? Or with every filament?
Maybe try hakimios U1-ACE Ace 2 port, to make sure its not some installation edge case?
This problem occurs with different spools and different materials (PLA Basic, PLA Matte). I’ve tried Bambu Lab and Kexcelled filament; I haven’t tried Anycubic spools yet.
What does “U1-ACE Ace 2 port” refer to? - I found it >> GitHub - hakimio/U1-Ace: Adding the Anycubic ACE to the U1 printer · GitHub ![]()
