Turn off Bed/Nozzle when Paused

Hi All,

It’s been a while (maybe around 8 months) since I’ve had the 3DP module installed. Got a seemingly good calibration from it and will be printing with ASA (did 4 small prints with it that weren’t 100% perfect but were within tolerance with an initial bed temp of 95C (down to 80 after initial layers), and nozzle temp of 235-240).

I’m intending to do a print that I can’t get below 10+ hours with the slicer settings, but I don’t want the heated bed and nozzle to be heated the entire time if I pause it on the touchscreen for sleep or work, etc. I’m not opposed to running from Luban if that’s an option, and I sometimes do that for shorter prints anyways.

Is my only option the job recovery feature, or can I turn off the bed/nozzle while paused (leaving the machine on) and just have it heat up again when ready?

If you cool the bed mid print, you risk to separate the print from the bed… I print overnight no problem, the machine is reliable enough, and I only had failed prints due to user error.

There is a tool to detect filament not moving - like a clog sensor.
