Troubleshooting 3DPrint Quality

I am trying to print this part for a Halo ODST cosplay, but the layer lines are really inconsistent and there are even some weird vertical artifacts. I’ve attached a photo near the end of the print that shows the poor quality. Prior to the print I ran through all of the Orcaslicer calibration tests and got everything dialed in for this filament (Elegoo PLA+). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

May share any of your settings?
Did you calibrate your e-steps? - >Extruder calibration is a must

Huh, I must have missed that one. I’m running the Pressure Advance Tower calibration now.

Does this screenshot help?

Hi Yakbats and welcome to the forum.
Your screenshot shows that you set the flow rate to over 100% percent.
With a well calibrated machine (see xchrisd link for setting correct e-steps) and even in most cases if you never changed e-steps it should not be normal to set such a high flow rate (that would cause over extrusion).
In most cases I need to set flow rate slightly below 1 (eg 95 to 98%) with my machine ( i also never change my e-steps settings  ).
And your print result show problems that could be caused by an over extrusion.
I am realy no expert for orcas filament settings but I would guess you should try to start by lowering your flow rate. So you could set it to “1” and getting lower if its still to messy.

There are more than filament settings.
I mean the printing and movement speeds, wall counts and infill are interesting.

Let’s have another look after you calibrated your extruder.

After adjusting my pressure advance, I went back and reran the flow rate calibration, but to my eye the best tile was the “0” tile indicating that my flow ratio of 1.1157 (while rather high) should be spot on. However, I then printed the Orca Cube, and still got some z-banding. I’ll set it down to 1 and print the cube again. Thanks

Have you checked you Y-axis linear rails for z-wobble?
